Happy St Patricks Day (better late than never)

My favorite little Irish dancers at the St Patrick's Day Parade.  Lots of small town fun.  Next year, remember to park in the neighborhood and walk though.  SO MANY PEOPLE!!!!

and look what Wild Thing found- a 4-leaf clover.  How appropriate.

Following your momma's advice

I can't not post about my $126 hair disaster!!! If anyone likes orange streaks in their hair, I haven't met them yet.  What is strange is that at both of my hospital jobs, not a single person has even commented.  That can only mean one of 2 things: 1.  No one has noticed or 2. They listened to their mommas when she told them "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all"  Which do you think????......yeah, I'm guessing option number two.

Am I spoiled or what???

Weezer decided to surprise me and fix lunch  today.  How cute is she in my great aunt's apron?!?!?! What a cutie-patooty!!

A Rare Moment

so rare....I had to take a picture!  While working all week and weekend, I had one goal in mind, to do exactly this on my Sunday evening!  I made myself a fire, brewed (manually not Keurig) a Paris hot tea, put my feet up, and worked on my Lent schedule.  SO NICE!!!!  I have no time off before Ash Wednesday but I still have a few things to do to be prepared but if they don't get done, it won't be to bad.

Lenten Preparations are Underway

My previous year of giving up my beloved QT ice teas for Lent has proven to be not as difficult as I expected to be.  Yes, I did miss them, but it didn't take long to realize ice water is pretty darn nice in and of itself!  So this year I really want to step it up an impossible amount a couple of notches and really address my total health.  I know that sounds like I am reaching for the moon, but so be it.  It just feels right this year with all the circumstances that are now a part of our life.  I am going to eat 100%- totally healthy--home prepared meals, exercise, drink plenty of water, vitamins, sleep, etc....and it is all going to be on calendar--each day--what needs to be done that day.  Sound ambitious?  Good, it want it to be.  It isn't even about being successful though....it's really about the trying....and THAT I plan on doing.

While researching, I came across a great resource :  www.fannetasticfood.com.  It finds like this that make it seem possible.
